PLANTS THAT ATTRACT WILDLIFE

Gardens aren't for people alone. Since the Garden of Eden, many home gardens have served as beautiful refuges for birds, butterflies, squirrels, and other wildlife. Attracting wildlife means supplying three main things. Food, water, and shelter. A shallow pool about an inch deep of water, is just right for birds and butterflies. Nectar -producing flowers such as Mexican sunflowers, and Lantana, and common ginger lilies are top targets for hummingbirds and butterflies. Thick plant borders such as Pampas grass help birds and other wildlife feel secure.
